Gutters in Cold Spring, Sized and Pitched to Carry Water Away

We install one-piece aluminum gutters and downspouts matched to how much water your roof actually sheds, then hang and pitch them so it leaves your home quickly. Before anything is ordered, you get the run lengths, sizes and price in writing.

When New Gutters Are the Right Call

Every drop that runs off your roof has to land somewhere. A working gutter system collects it at the eaves and releases it several feet from your foundation. When gutters sag, drip at the joints or overflow in a hard rain, that water soaks the fascia, streaks the siding and collects against the basement wall.

Sometimes a cleanout and a few new hangers are enough. Other times the old sections are too small, pitched the wrong way or rusted through at the corners, and replacement costs less over time than patching. We look at the whole system, including the roof edge behind it, and tell you plainly which case you are in.

Our written estimates list every run, every downspout and any fascia board we expect to replace. If we find something behind the old gutter that changes the job, we show you photos and put the change in writing before we touch it.

What a Gutter Job Includes

One-piece runs formed on site
We roll aluminum gutter to length from a coil at your home, so each run is one piece from corner to corner. Joints only appear at inside and outside miters, which we seal by hand.
Sizing to your roof
We measure roof area and pitch to choose between 5-inch and 6-inch K-style gutters and 2x3 or 3x4 downspouts. Steep, large roof planes often need the bigger profile to keep up with a heavy storm.
Hangers every two feet, into solid wood
We space hidden hangers roughly two feet apart and drive them through the fascia into the framing behind it. Each run falls slightly toward its downspout, so rain drains out rather than standing in the trough.
Fascia and drip edge checks
Once the old gutters come down, we probe the fascia and look over the drip edge. Soft or rotted boards are replaced before the new gutter goes up, at the price written on your estimate.
Downspouts that discharge away from the house
We place downspouts where they can drain without crossing walkways, and add extensions or splash blocks so water lands several feet from the foundation.
Who does the work
Our licensed and insured crew handles removal, carpentry, hanging and cleanup on your home, so the people who measured the job are the ones who finish it.

Signs Your Gutters Need Attention

  • Water spilling over the front edge

If water sheets over the lip during an ordinary rain, the gutter is undersized, clogged or pitched backward.

  • Sagging or pulled-away sections

Gaps between gutter and fascia usually mean loose spikes or rotting wood behind them.

  • Peeling paint or dark streaks below

Stains and blistered paint on fascia or siding show where water has been escaping for a while.

  • Ice buildup along the eaves

Northern Kentucky freeze-thaw cycles turn standing water into heavy ice. Gutters that hold water through winter bend, split and pull loose.

  • Damp basement walls or washed-out beds

Puddling near the foundation or soil eroding under a downspout means water is landing too close to your home.

How the Work Goes

  1. 1

    Measure and look

We walk the roofline, measure each run, check the fascia and note where water collects in the yard. Then we talk through options with you on site.

  2. 2

    Written estimate

You receive a line-item estimate listing gutter size, color, run lengths, downspout count and any wood repair. The price on that page covers that scope.

  3. 3

    Removal and prep

On install day we protect plantings, take down the old system carefully and fix any fascia or drip edge listed in writing.

  4. 4

    Forming and hanging

We form each run on site, hang it to pitch, seal the miters and set the downspouts. A hose test confirms every outlet drains freely.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and walk-through

Old gutters, fasteners and scrap leave with us. We walk the finished work with you before we go.

What Moves the Price

Gutter pricing comes down to how much material your home needs and how easy it is to reach. We spell out each factor in writing so nothing shows up later as an add-on. A free estimate by phone is the first step.

Total footage and corners
Longer runs and more miters mean more material and more hand-sealed joints.
Gutter and downspout profile
Stepping up from 5-inch to 6-inch gutter, and from 2x3 to 3x4 downspouts, raises material cost. On large or steep roof planes, the larger profile is often what keeps water inside the trough during a downpour.
Height and access
Second and third stories, steep slopes and tight side yards take more setup time and ladder work.
Condition of the fascia
Rotted boards found behind old gutters add carpentry. We price expected repairs up front and photograph anything new we find.
Guards and extensions
Gutter guards, underground drain connections or extra extensions are listed separately so you can choose what to include.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often

Something not covered here? (859) 765-6816

Are one-piece gutters worth it over sectional ones?

For most homes, yes. Sectional gutters have a joint about every ten feet, and each joint can start leaking as its sealant ages. Continuous runs only join at the corners, so there are fewer drips and a cleaner line along the roof edge.

Can you match the color of my trim?

We offer a range of factory-finished aluminum colors and will bring samples to hold up against your trim and siding. The color you choose is written on your estimate.

We are planning a new roof in the next year or two. Should the gutters wait?

Usually it is better to pair them. A roof replacement exposes the drip edge and fascia, which is the best moment to hang new gutters against sound wood. We can write up both jobs on one estimate and schedule the gutters to go up once the roof edge is finished.

Do I need gutter guards?

It depends on the trees around your home. Under heavy leaf or seed cover, guards can cut down on cleanouts. With open sky above the roof, they may not be worth the cost, and we will tell you so.

Is there a warranty on the installation?

Yes. Our gutter installations carry a 10-year labor warranty. If a hanger loosens or a miter leaks because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it.
