Siding in Cold Spring, Repaired and Installed With Care
We repair damaged siding and reside whole walls, paying close attention to the wrap, flashing and trim that keep water out of your home. You get a written scope and a clear list of what affects the price before any panel comes off.

When siding work is the right call
Siding is the layer that turns rain and wind away before they reach the sheathing and framing of your home. When panels crack, warp or let water slip behind them, the damage underneath tends to grow quietly. We replace damaged sections, reside single walls or the whole house, and set the house wrap and flashing so water always has a way out.
Sometimes a few panels and a corner post solve the problem. Sometimes the wall behind them has gone soft and a patch would only hide it. We tell you which it is, then put the scope and every pricing factor in writing, so the final bill matches the paper you approved.
We are licensed and insured, and we treat the finish as seriously as the structure: straight courses, tidy corners, clean caulk lines.
What our siding work includes
- Panel and section repair
- We remove damaged pieces and weave in new ones that match the profile and reveal. Siding that has weathered for years may read a shade different from new stock, and we tell you that before you decide.
- Full residing
- We strip the old siding, look over every wall, install fresh house wrap and hang new panels. Vinyl, its trim and accessories are chosen with you, with color and profile written into the quote.
- Wrap and flashing details
- Window and door heads get proper flashing, and we add kick-out flashing where a roof edge meets a wall. That small piece keeps runoff from soaking the siding below it.
- Trim, soffit and fascia
- We wrap fascia and replace worn soffit, using vented panels where your attic needs the airflow.
- Sheathing repair
- Soft or rotted sheathing is cut out and replaced before new siding goes on. The per-sheet cost is listed in your quote ahead of time, so a bad board never becomes a surprise add-on.
Signs your siding needs attention
Warped or buckled panels
Vinyl has to move as temperatures change. Panels nailed too tight ripple and bow, and Northern Kentucky's swing from icy winters to humid summers exposes that mistake quickly.
Cracks, dents and holes
Hail, wind-blown branches and mower stones break panels. Even a small crack lets water run behind the wall every time it rains.
Loose or missing pieces
After a strong wind you may find a panel in the yard. The gap it leaves exposes the wrap to sun and rain.
Stains or soft spots inside
Peeling paint or damp drywall on an exterior wall often points to water getting past the siding.
Heavy fading and chalking
A chalky film or faded walls mean the surface has worn down. It is mostly cosmetic, but it tells you the siding is aging.
What moves the cost of siding
Siding is priced by the wall, the material and what we find behind it. We explain each of those on paper during the estimate, so you can see where the money goes and adjust the scope if you want to.
Wall area and height
More square footage means more material and labor. Second-story walls and steep lots need extra staging and ladder work.
Material and profile
Panel thickness, profile style and color choice all change the material cost, and so do matching accessories.
Condition underneath
Rotted sheathing or damaged wrap adds work. We price that per sheet in advance.
Openings and details
Each window, door, corner and vent needs trim and flashing, so a wall with many openings takes longer than a plain one.
Old layers to remove
Tearing off more than one layer of old siding adds labor and disposal.
How a siding job runs
- 1
Free on-site estimate
We walk each wall, press on suspect areas, look at the trim and flashing, and take photos you can keep.
- 2
Your written quote
You receive the scope, materials, color, trim details and a per-unit price for any hidden sheathing repair. Nothing outside that list is added without your approval.
- 3
Protecting the property
Before work starts we cover plantings, shield windows and your air conditioning unit, and keep a clear path for you to come and go.
- 4
Installation
Wrap and flashing go on first, then panels hung with room to expand and contract, then trim and caulk. We check every course for straight lines as we go.
- 5
Cleanup and walk-through
We haul away old material, run a magnet over the lawn and driveway for nails, and walk the finished walls with you.

Siding questions we hear often
Can you match my existing siding for a small repair?
Often, yes. We bring a sample of your panel to compare profile and reveal. Color is the harder part, because older siding fades, so we may suggest using matching panels from a less visible wall and putting new ones there.
How do I know if I need repair or full replacement?
If damage is limited to a few areas and the wall behind is sound, repair makes sense. If panels are brittle across the house or sheathing is soft in several places, residing usually costs less over time. We show you photos and explain our reasoning either way.
Will insurance cover hail or wind damage to my siding?
It depends on your policy and the cause of the damage. We document what we find with photos and notes you can give your insurer, but the adjuster makes the coverage decision. Our Storm Damage Repair page explains how we help with roofs and siding after a storm.
How long does a residing job take?
Most homes take a few working days, depending on size, detail and weather. Your written quote includes the expected schedule, and we let you know if rain changes it.
Can you do siding along with my roof or gutters?
Yes. Doing them together lets us tie the roof flashing, fascia and gutters into the new siding properly. Many customers pair siding with Roof Replacement or Gutters work.
Is your siding work covered by a warranty?
Yes. Our siding installation comes with a 10-year labor warranty, separate from whatever the panel manufacturer provides.
